When you live near the sea...
My family and I were taking my mom on the ferry for a day trip to Nantucket. We stood at the back of the ferry and that was the prime location to capture the award winning image: "Summer Sloop".
A sunset cruise with girlfriends provided the spectacular opportunity to capture:
"Cotton Candy Light".

You Don't Have to Travel
I used to feel I needed to go someplace in order to make a beautiful image. Fortunately I've come to realize that you don't need to be a globe trotter to find interesting subjects. Turns out some of my favorite photos have been taken close to home!
What a conundrum!
I suffer from Raynaud's syndrome. When exposed to the cold the body limits blood flow to the hands and feet and my fingers turn white and feel numb. This only fuels my great dislike for the cold. Since my family members all love to ski I try to make the most of my cold weather experiences by photographing the amazing scenery.
